In partnership with the Florida Department of Health’s Bureau of Vital Statistics, certified copies of Florida birth certificates can be obtained from the Tax Collector’s office. 

Only simple applications can be processed. Applications are only accepted from either the child named on the birth record (if 18 or older) or a parent named on the birth record. Valid identification must be presented at the time of application. 

Primary types of valid Photo IDs: 

• Motor Vehicle Operator’s License

• State ID Card, issued by Department of Motor Vehicles

• Passport

• Military ID

$21.25 for each copy of the same birth certificate printed. Acceptable forms of payment: Cash, checks, money order, or credit/debit card (convenience fees apply).
